So what do we do when we’re not creating portraits or doing other commissioned work? We’re out wandering the woods or the back roads looking for visually interesting subjects that stimulate our senses, excite our imagination, renew our love of photography and rejuvenate our spirit. It may be a flower blossom covered in morning dew, a wild mushroom on a wooded path or the rusted remnants of man’s impact on the land. Going to new and different locations is always exciting, but favorite images have also been created within steps of the back door. In order to be consistently creative for clients, we have to first be creative for ourselves.
